Das Projekt Brimborium-Records wurde 2013 als Label, Sampler und Online-Archiv gestartet und hat die Aufgabe, die besten Aufnahmen regionaler Musik zu sichten, zu archivieren und der Öffentlichkeit zugänglich zu machen. Zu diesem Zweck wurde u. a. im Oktober 2013 der Sampler "Szene Unser - 17 Pongauer Schattseiten" auf CD und Vinyl veröffentlicht. Restbestände sind heute bei Veranstaltungen der kultur:plattform St. Johann im Pongau (www.kultur-plattform.at) erhältlich.

Um die notwendigen Ressourcen für weitere Tonträger zu schaffen, ist Brimborium Records einerseits auf ehrenamtliche Mitarbeit, andererseits auf Einnahmen durch den Verkauf von Tonträgern an die kulturinteressierte Hörer*innenschaft angewiesen. Der oben genannte physische Tonträger wird dabei durch ein Angebot online bereitgestellter Alben erweitert, die kostenpflichtig heruntergeladen werden können. Das Streaming der Tonträger ist selbstverständlich kostenlos.
